                                  Hudson River Plane crash

The plane crash in the Hudson River was one of the most shocking events that I have heard in 8 years. It was flight 1549 “the miracle crash” that all of the passengers survived.  That was a super miracle that they all survived. The reason that it crashed is because it flew into a flock of geese and one of the birds got caught in the engine and that engine caught on fire. That crash dumped 155 passengers in to the chilly Hudson River, 15 people were being treated at hospitals and triage centers. It was five minutes after they took off, when they took off one of the passenger’s smelled smoke and knew something was wrong. This is going to be an important thing in aviation because the pilot saved all those passengers and made all those split second decisions, which saved all those passengers. The pilot should be recognized for his bravery and commitment. He used to be an Air force pilot and the landing that he did on the water was one of the hardest landing that he could have done. This was the biggest event since the World Trade Center incident. The kind of air plane was an Airbus A320. The entire crew was rewarded the masters medal of the guild. The award citation read this emergency ditching and evacuation, with the loss of no lives, is a heroic and unique aviation achievement.

The  specs on the plane are

No. engines: 2

Aircraft type: Jet

Capacity max: 179

Capacity min: 164

Range (miles): 3305

Payload capacity: (lbs) 45,686

Wing span: 111

Length: 123

Takeoff weight:  (lbs) 77,000

Cabin type: pressurized

The airport they left was LaGuardia.  They were going to try to land at Teterboro airport that was in New Jersey when Sullenberger contacted the air traffic controller and said there is no way that we can make it to the airport. The engines lost almost all the thrust and the captain tried to restart the engines. He chose the ditching area because there were three boat terminals and the passengers had a better chance of survival. The flight attendents began evacuation of the 150 passengers on to the wings and onto slides, one of the slides did not deploy right away. The slowly sinking airliner was drifting down stream, one of the doors was opened by a panicked passenger and caused the plane to fill up with water. Quicker, one of the flight attendants tried to seal up the door but was unsuccessful. They found out later that the impact of the water ripped a hole in the underside of the airplane and twisted the fuselage causing cargo doors to open and causing the plane to fill up water from the rear. The last person to come out of the plane was the captain.

I think that this will have a big impact on the future because it will let the pilots of the future know how to land on water and let them know who saved all those passengers. It will let them know how to make planes safer and what to put in the planes. They plane are a lot safer than they were 60 years ago they did not have as much fancy safety equipment like they do today. Some of the safety equipment they have today is really advanced.  They should make the plans float so the passengers have a better chance to survive. It is hard to survive a plane crash. It’s like a 50% chance to survive a plane crash.

We remember all those who died in the terrorist attacks. And those who have served in all the past and in the present and in the future. The brave souls who have died for our country and what they died for. People say they died for our freedom but with the war we are in now, I think that we are killing for oil and we don’t need foreign oil.  We need to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan before we lose any more of our troops and any civilians over there in Iraq.

The article I chose is about this 39 year old mom starved her 14 year old disabled daughter witch she starved her to death and only got 20 40 years in prison she should have got more like life in prison or death with out parole. Her daughter only weighed 42 pounds.

Crimes against property

This guy broke in to a house and stole 45,000 dollars worth of property. And another guy stole jelly beans and that’s all he stole what an idiot. If you’re going steal, steal something worth a lot of money like a lambo or rob a bank or something like that.

lowering the drinking age opinion

my opinion is that it really does not matter what age the put the drinking age there are going to be alot nof accidents under age drinking and all that bad stuff there are alot of under age drinkers and if they get in trouble it is there fault and they can just go to canada or europe  so that really does not solve any problems  if the lower the drinking age there will be younger people starting at a younger age if they start at younger age they will most likely become alcoholics and that is not good and then will most likely get in trouble by the cops and i dont think the cops want to deal under age drinkers  the younger they are the stupider they are  and  they have a better chance of getting alcohol poising and that kills alot of teens  and  they get alot of DUIs and that is not good. so we need to raise the drinking age.

ten trillion and counting

We need to stop the war and we might save a lot of money. If we only buy American goods that might help the economy Barrack Obama has a big job on fixing the economy the war costs so much money bush is an idiot thank god bush is out of office and he should have never been in office the first place. 10 trillion dollars is a lot of money and there is no way we can pay all that back the surplus was good we should have put that money away. We could have used that money for a time like this. 9/11 really hurt the United States if those terrorists assholes would have never hi the world trade center we would have never went into to debt.  And never would have went to war on terror and we need to get the hell out of the middle east the united states are a bunch of greedy ass holes they should have raised the taxes a little bit  bush should have listened and all that we want is all the oil  from the middle east. All that we had bushed threw it away and made our country in debt. And lets hope we get out of this recession if not we are all screwed. our children’s children’s children will pay for our mistake. Nobody should have ever voted for George. Bushes dad said he will not raise taxes but think we believed him. Politics are just big pains. What if we get rid of all the politics it will be hard at first but we will get used to it. Then we should start over and res establish the government and start out with erasing all the debt. Somebody should have assonated George bush because he is a jerk. WWII was a big change in history. There are a lot of things that we need to stop spending money on. 3rd world countries are doing better than we are and they are poor there economy is growing faster than ours and that is bad. One thing that pisses me off to fly around in a helicopter and a jet and get a ride in an armored car so who is the jerk now. Unemployment is way out of control Obama is our best hope for this country. 800billion dollars is a lot of money. The stimulus plan is over 1,000 pages the guys are arguing over it like a bunch children. the health care is good idea but at the same time it is a bad idea what I mean is that the health care plan will help a lot of people in need but at the same time it will hurt the country.   The environment is a big problem these days we are trying to cut back emissions Obama has money I n the budget to help with this problem. We also have to help the car companies but we should let the car companies take care of it on their own and let the strongest survive and that is the way of nature. By 2017 the projected numbers are 20 trillion dollars that is an enormous amount of money we will eventually have to pay back. By 2050 we will exceed the amount of money that we have. We will be defiantly be screwed. Just like we did in 1940. We barrowed 93,000,000,000 in the first three months. Supposable we are good at paying back debt. China was worried about all the money we are bowering. We are basically gambling with our economy which is not good  Obama is good president it is not his fault that we are this fare in debt it is the terriosts fault lets blame Saddem  Hussin  this is all his fault. The oil companies need to lower the gas prices the stock market is not doing to good but it is holding on.

Iraq war: the war that never ends

The surge is a group 20,000 troops to provide security to Baghdad and the Al Anbar province; it was developed under the working title “The new way forward”. He also extended the tour of 4,000 marines on the same day president made his speech ABC News announced that ninety advance troops from the 82nd Airborne Division had already arrived in Baghdad there were five brigades deployed to Iraq as part of the surge and here are the five.

The five U.S. Army brigades committed to Iraq as part of the surge were

1.       2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division: Deployed to Baghdad, January 2007

2.     4th Brigade, 1st Infantry Division: Deployed to Baghdad, February 2007

3.     3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division: Deployed to southern Baghdad Belts, March 2007

4.     4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division: Deployed to Diyala province, April 2007

5.     2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division: Deployed to the southeast of Baghdad, May 2007

The plan began with a major operation to secure Baghdad, codenamed Operation Fardh al-Qanoon the surges successes and limits are both plainly visible on al- kindy today. This place used to be a nice place to shop but just last year it was filled with blood and violonce and now it is going back to normal. There is a drug store that just opend and a new cell phone store and there where some shoppers. There are still sand bag check points at ether end of the al Kindy street. Manned by soldiers with mechine gunns iraqi police in body aromor prowl back alleys and saide streets to intercept  would be car bombers.”we still have a lot of work to do “, says Lieut. General Ray Odierno, the No. 2 U.S commander in iraq. U.S casualites in May and June 227 killed- were so high that even he thought he might have miscaluated. Over the past year, the us sanctioned more then 125 local proxy armies an ad hoc force of 60,000 that one called the other “surge”. The stradgey has been costly 901 amercain troops died in Iraq in 2007 the deadliest year for forces science 2004. There are more then 100,000 sections of concrete car bomb barriers snake around Baghdad neighaborhoods. Three big problem remains that you’ve got a central government that is dysfunctional and disorganized. After a yearlong surge, the U.S. is about to move from relatively safe ground of betting on its troops to betting on Iraqis. The Fadhils report, one difference between this and earlier—failed – attempts to secure Baghdad is the willingness of the Iraqi and the U.S.  And Iraqi governments to commit enough resources for enough time to make it work. A national agreement on sharing oil revenue appears on its way to approval. The interior Ministry has been purged of corrupt officials and of many suspected of torture and brutality. There is still violence, as Sunni insurgents and al Qaeda seek to prove that the surge is not working. However, they are striking at more vulnerable targets in the provinces violence is down in Baghdad as for Sadr and the Mahadi Army; it is possible they may reemerge as problem later. The U.S plans to keep higher force levels in Iraq through the beginning of 2008. Bush administration in it infinite wisdom to talk again about drawing down forces.

the draft

America is currently involved in two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan. That has put a long-term stress on our military. One solution would be the draft. How do you feel about the possibility of a draft? Do you think that it should be for boys only? Do you think it should be for both men and women? If you support the draft or don’t support please voice your opinion.

presidents letter

The problem I want to address is the war in Iraq. The problem is that we need to take troops out of Iraq. The only reason that I think that we are still, in Iraq is for the oil. Why don’t we try to negotiate a price for a barrel of oil or try to get oil out of American Culture or slow way down on the consumption of oil?  If we don’t slow down on the oil we are going to put the world into global warming which we are all ready started to do   with all the burning of 80% of the fossil fuels such as coal, oil. We need to find away to go to more hybrid cars if there are more hybrid cars on the road we  will  reduce green house gasses. There should be law that states all the cars on the road should be hybrids or at least 75% of them. If we have more hybrids on the road we will the American not have that many breathing problems. If we cut back on the cutting down of the trees or for every tree that you cut down replace it 3 trees so  this aimed more towards the loggers they are cutting down whole freaking forests like in the jungle when most of the trees in the jungle the trees are 300 to 400  years old it just makes me mad the trees at least take 50 t0 60 years to fully mature  so that means that if we plant a sapling now I will be 67 years old  so that is a long time. We need to start recycling more paper, plastic, and metals if do that we will save a lot of precious fossil fuels. If we do that all the manufacturing of all the goods that means a lot of pollution the pollution that the companies dump all the toxic chemicals in the water that means that it will kill or harm the fish. A lot of the fish we eat ., the zebra mussels like the pollution so they are getting out of control and that means that we have to spend money to clean them up. With all the people fertilizing there lawns  that is  one of main sources of pollution the  other source of pollution is  farmer s fertilizing there  fields  the run off  runs into the streams and then into the lakes  or rivers then the oceans  when it gets there  it creates algal blooms and that  blocks the sun light  the sun light is needed  for some sea weed to grow  and the fish need it for their food . Global  warming  which Is a big topic these days  the polar ice caps are melting that means less roaming room for the polar bears  and that means that they have to swim to get to get to their food  which  mean that a lot of the polar bears will starve to death  and that will eventually mean that they will go extinct and we want to keep them around for as long as we can. And global warming has a big effect on all animals around the world the bangle tigers are going to be extantinct if we don’t do anything about it  the and the main thing is that we need to really slow down on the oil we are going to run out of oil soon and a lot of the oil deposits are millions of years old and they  should be reserved  for emernceys  such as for the armed forces for the tanks planes and so on. the more oil coal we burn the more green house gases we release to the atmosphere and that is not a good thing and if we don’t stop there are going to be holes in the atmosphere  and that will let more sun light in and contribute to global warming and see how all this ties into each other.

My second problem is the economy and all they layoffs all the layoffs are not nesseceary the layoffs contribute to all the economic problems. All the layoffs affect the town the people live in, the city the nation and internationally the less jobs people have there is no way to support their families and if they don’t have a job they have no money for food  or  no money to pay their bills such as mortgage, gas, electric car insurance  or car payments, no car payments means no car to look for a job  fi you have no job  you cannot pay on your house if you have no where will you go there is only two places to go on the streets or back to your mothers I don’t think you want to live with your mother ! If there are homeless people some of them resort to violence to get money or join gangs if there are gangs that means innocent people will die and that is not a good thing  and also if there are gangs  there is always drugs  and drugs are not a good thing in this society  we do not want are kids to have to deal with what we caused and if there are drugs and gangs are kids will always be in danger  if we try to slow the gang and drugs  I know it will always be a part of our society  and that is a bad thing. Back to the homeless thing we spend a lot of money to try to solve this problem. If we can try to find things to build like a wall across the Mexican border that will bring a lot of jobs to that area that it is going to be put up. There are a lot of abondand buildings all the buildings that are all over the place we can use for other things instead of building other ones that will most likely not get sold. And it still will keep jobs like plumber’s electrician’s carpenters and Drywall and other jobs. If there are jobs that means that there will be people to by houses and if  people by houses and pay there mortgage   and if they pay there mortgage  there are no evictions that means that no body will be homeless and then there will be little to no drugs or little to no gang violence  there are  not that many police officers in any city in the united states  that means more robberies  murders  and gang violence prostution   and a lot of the politics  get in a lot of trouble  but they do not get punished for their actions. What they don’t realize is that they are wrong they can get in the same trouble as all the other civilians. If we build a wall across the border between Mexico   that will get jobs and it will help the economy. The Mexicans are taking all of are jobs  the reason is that  the Mexicans  are doing the jobs for a lot less and the employers are happy with this because they save a lot of  money.  A lot of the busniusses  all over the world  are going down the drain and we need to strat spending are money a lot more carefully and    be smarter about buying houses and  look for discounts and do more walking bike riding and try to look for a good employing job a alternative for all this is to join any of the armed forces they will pay for your collage and you get some discounts at  a lot of the stores all over the place and you get to travel. That is my conclusion hope u guys get some in site  thanks  for reading hope you liked it.
